Marjen specialise in the application of EToN permit/notices for our clients, this is the busiest sector of our company with the increasing requirements requested by local authorities. The booking of road space under permit schemes it is becoming more and more onerous on the utility company and their contractor to get this information accurate and in the correct format, failing to do this and increase lead times on project start dates and a significant risk of financial penalty from the breaches of legislation.

EToN applications – Marjen are competent users of Synology, Bentley & Mayrise application systems and have a good relationship with both providers assisting in the development of the software with, giving effective feedback and a point of contact reference for Beta trials.

Marjen can assist our clients in negotiations with local authorities in these matters offering advice and preparing proposals prior to negotiations, arbitration & legal proceedings.

We can offer on-site live support, carrying out inspections on work methodology, to include signing, lighting and guarding, excavation techniques, reinstatement techniques & reinstatement quality giving advice & guidance where required.

This ensures that the job is done correctly first-time, reducing return visits for poor workmanship and avoiding local authority inspection/defect charges.

This is a new element of our business, some of our clients have asked us to implement a “sign off” style inspection of completed civil works. We send out one of our engineers to assess the completed reinstatement for defects in-line with SROH & Hauc guidelines,

These audits are compiled into a report that the client can use prior to final sign off with a contractor, ensuring that any remedial works are completed prior to final payments being made. This ensures that our client will have apparatus that is safe and secure, has a maximum life-span and is at a minimal risk of local authority defect inspection failures.
